WHO WE AREIn the late '60s and more precisely in 1968, when industrial Italy was well established, Giuseppe Ruggerone founded Mobil Plastic with other partners. At that time, plastic products were revolutionising the world in all sectors, from industrial to agriculture to the household, offering plastic items also for everyday use.Mobil Plastic's aim was to manufacture plastic products to solve classification and storage problems of small parts in industrial and hardware warehouses, creating modular containers and drawer units.From the beginning success was immediate, first in Italy and then also in the most important European markets, attending all the best-known international trade fairs in the sector. In 1997, in the midst of its expansion, the company's generational handover took place. The founder's sons, Alberto and Pierangelo, chose to follow a renewed company policy and modern business strategies. Few years later, thanks to new production technologies, targeted research and diversification approaches, Mobil Plastic launched a new production unit abroad.2008 marked a further important turning point with the acquisition of the well-known Italian company "SSS", which has been active for over 40 years in the enological, households, industrial and, more recently, ecological sectors. This important investment doubles the company's size and production volumes, imposing new goals, new strategies and new business challenges on Mobil Plastic. The combination of several factors such as the history, strong corporate identity and products type of the two brands MOBIL PLASTIC and SSS, well known throughout Europe, new and diversified sale channels, together with renewed multi-channel production and sales distribution methods, allows the company to position itself among the market leaders in its sectors.Mobil Plastic S.p.A. production includes two production departments equipped with modern machinery for all items production.INJECTION MOLDING department consists of a large fleet of machines with capacities ranging from 200 to 300 tons, while BLOW MOLDING department uses advanced machines with volumetric capacities from 5 to 100 litres per mould; both are able to promptly guarantee the production required by the company to allow fast deliveries and a wide variety of available products.Currently, more than 500 different articles in terms of shape, use and color are produced every day, 24 hours a day, in the facilities in the province of Pavia.The renewed company structure consists of a continuous cycle production plant (h 24) employing over 100 highly qualified and professional employees within company's production, logistics, administrative and sales areas. The covered area, totalling over 20.000 square metres, includes warehouses for items shipment that are always ready for delivery.In 2018, Mobil Plastic celebrates 50 years in business and confirms itself as a leading company in Italy and Europe. Thanks to its spirit of innovation, its propensity for new production processes, web market and other sectors, the northern Italian company launches a new era and a new modern image, laying the foundations for future growth and confirming to be a serious, reliable and modern partner.
